Bailey’s Therapy Dog Training Journey
We’re excited to introduce Bailey, our five-year-old Cockapoo, who is four months into his journey to becoming a Practice Therapy Dog at Wagner Therapies Ltd.
Born in Wales, Bailey has always had a naturally gentle and people-focused temperament. He loves sharing his toys, enjoying cuddles, or showing off his impressive tricks. He’s just as happy relaxing quietly as he is playing games, and he’s even known for his goalkeeping skills during a game of football!
Following an initial assessment with PAWS during summer of 2025, Bailey scored highly for his potential as a Therapy and Assistance Dog. He is now undertaking a comprehensive one year School and Practice Assistance & Therapy Dog training programme alongside his trainer, Livia, to ensure the highest standards of safety and care for our clients.
Animal Assisted Therapy is increasingly recognised for its positive impact on children and adults living with brain injury and disabilities, supporting emotional wellbeing, engagement, and social interaction.
We expect Bailey to begin supporting clients from summer 2026 alongside his certified Therapy Dog Handler, Livia, and we look forward to sharing updates on his progress over the coming months.
🐾 Stay tuned for more from Bailey!
