Sharon is a highly accomplished Specialist Neuro and Paediatric Occupational Therapist with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. She graduated with honours from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa) in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Sharon is registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).

With a strong passion for animals and the outdoors, Sharon has completed her hippotherapy training, which aligns with her dedication to incorporating nature-based approaches within her therapeutic practice. She is a true advocate for the power of occupation and consistently champions the value of Occupational Therapy both in her clinical practice and as an educator.

Sharon’s career spans a diverse range of settings, including major trauma units, neuro-rehabilitation centres, and paediatric therapy services. She has significant experience working with adults, teens, and young children in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Her expertise encompasses major trauma, traumatic brain injuries, neurosurgical procedures, neuro-oncology, spinal cord injuries, and orthopaedic injuries.

In her recent role at Kings College Hospital, Sharon played an integral part in developing Paediatric Therapy Services. She has a profound understanding of the impact of trauma and catastrophic injuries on children and their families. Additionally, Sharon has extensive experience in wheelchair and seating provision, splinting and casting of upper limbs, specialist equipment provision, and conducting comprehensive assessments, including both standardised and non-standardised cognitive and physical evaluations.

Sharon is known for her professionalism, excellent communication skills, and ability to think “outside of the box”. She has built strong connections with clients, families, industry providers, and multidisciplinary team members alike. Based in South London, Sharon works with children, young people, and their families in London and surrounding areas. Her part-time independent Case Management role makes her a valuable asset to Wagner Therapies, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of the full scope of therapy within the field of personal injury claims.
