Wheelpower Games

Attending the WheelPower Games with a client as an occupational therapist is an incredibly fulfilling experience. It’s inspiring to see the positive impact that accessible sports can have on wheelchair users. These games provide opportunities for people to engage in physical activity, build confidence, and form meaningful connections within a supportive community.  Accessible sports are vital for promoting physical health, mental well-being, and social inclusion. They empower wheelchair users to challenge themselves, discover their potential, and lead active, independent lives. As an occupational therapist, witnessing my client’s growth and joy at the WheelPower Games reaffirms the significance of advocating for and facilitating inclusive sports opportunities for all.
